Roine Stolt created his Foxtrot record label back in 1994 and released, what would be considered the first Flower Kings record, The Flower King, that year. The band, The Flower Kings, officially recorded their first album Back in the World of Adventures in 1995. There would be several more records under the Foxtrot label until the band's catalogue was licensed by Inside Out music in the year 2000. Since then, all of the bands records, as well as solo albums, have been re-released on the Inside Out record label (with the exception of the Flower Kings Official bootlegs and the fan club CDs, some of which you will find below).
Be sure to check out our Inside Out page for releases by The Flower Kings, Roine Stolt, Tomas Bodin, The Tangent, Kaipa and more.
Agents Of Mercy/The Black Forest ....import CD $17.99
Yes, the time has come to announce the birth of a new album by Agents of Mercy. The album is called "The Black Forest" and is what some may call a "concept album." Now you've heard that term a million times - 'cause it's PROG. However it is safe to say that this one really is - the album concept dealing with that big dark and scary forest - but not a story about hobbits, trolls and dragons. "The Black Forest" is a surreal journey - a metaphor for a trip through very dark disturbing and likewise scary times, where we all set out on a lifelong journey knowing of all the scary encounters lurking out there. Greed, lust, hunger for power, money, eternal life, mindcontrol, poisoned water and food, warheads, warpigs, new princes re-building the babylonian towers now and again- and guess what..... we're the prey !! The world is a beautiful place but also very turbulent times lies ahead - beware - be strong! (Btw, love is the only answer!) The music is a more rock oriented path we've taken, for good reasons - we are a R&R band at the core but we like symphonic music, jazz and folk or whatever tickle our fancy at the time. The tunes are longer and more elaborated (prog) but sometimes with a ironfist of raw power punching your surprised face - play it loud! Same lineup - more power - more detail - more confidence - all ready to move you in a live setting. As the tunes and mixes line up it is likely we end up with a bundle that contain songs like: The Black Forest, My Elegy, A Quiet Little Town, Black Sunday, Citadel, Freak Of Life, Carry You Home, Bleeding by the Roadside, The Seeds of Success. The saga is HERE and it is REAL!!

Agents of Mercy/DramaRama ....import CD $17.99
(excerpt from 'Peace United')
Agents Of Mercy are back with a new full-on studio album entitled "DramaRama." In its true retro-spirit it is rehearsed and recorded "live" in Varispeed Studios in Sweden, with very few overdubs. 12 songs written by guitarist Roine Stolt & singer Nad Sylvan - the concept was "to find the roots of our inspiration and the sounds we love" so there's the obvious late '60s and early '70s feel. 12 titles that focus more on melody, storytelling and drama than "technical delivery" - not withstanding the fact that the band house some of the most skilled hi-profile musicians in the present prog scene. Huge rumble and swoosh from drums, fuzzy grinding & thunder bass, Wurlizer piano, Hammond swirls and adventurous Moog ornaments, Telecaster twang and vintage Voxtubes - all there to support our swinging psychedelic-dramadelic '60s tripback. Plenty of symphonic rewards for the diehard fans of TFK or Transatlantic style prog - closer to Retropolis than Rainmaker- but yet more scaled down happy classic rock, glam & pop too. "It borrows from the theatrical rock - film noir - the oddity of young David Bowie - to the energy Mahavishnu Orchestra." The new album is a big leap towards a more complete classic (prog)rock band feel - where the 1st album stayed firmly in very pastel and mellow contemplating, but yet demanding modes. "DramaRama" is an independent release from Stolt's own label, designed to operate freely and adapt in this new dawn of recorded music.
Karmakanic & Agents of Mercy/The Power of Two ....import CD $17.99
(excerpt from 'Heroes & Beacons')
The Power of Two - Live in the US 2009. The concept of "The Power of Two" is based upon the simple idea that two forces working together are more powerful than two separate units working on their own. Open minded musical interaction is what can warp time, span new sonic empires, move mountains and split atoms (eh...almost). So while putting the royal flowers on ice for a while, the two stringbenders of TFK, namely Jonas and Roine, started to reflect on the idea of going out playing live shows with their two "side projects" - Karmakanic and Agents of Mercy. Two different repertoires are performed by one single group of people creating an extravaganza of rich textured "wall of sound" that hopefully will find a way to your hearts and minds. Roine Stolt: guitar, Jonas Reingold: bass, Nick dīVirgillio: drums, Goran Edman: vocals, Lalle Larsson: keys, Nad Sylvan: vocals.
Lalle Larson/Weaveworld ....import CD $17.99
(excerpt from 'Dance of the Dead')
Lalle Larsson is probably best known for his work with Karmakanic. This is an interesting and excellent album that straddles a line between progressive rock and fusion although it lands closer to the progressive rock side of things. Lalle plays a number of keyboards but there's a lot of piano work here and the sound of the piano contrasts really nicely with the heavier, more crunchy notes-a-flying sounds coming from the two guitarists (Richard Hallebeek and Stefan Rosqvist), bass (Jonas Reingold - of Flower Kings/Karmakanic) and drums (Mickael Wahlgren).

3rd World Electric/Kilimanjaro Secret Brew ....import CD $17.99
(excerpt from 'Tin Can Robots')
The idea started in the summer of 2008 when bassist Jonas Reingold and guitarist Roine Stolt got together to develop some ideas that were under the unfashionable label of 'fusion.' For those of you not familiar with the phrase or are too young to remember the wild & vivid '70s of bellbottom denims, Shure SM 58 haircuts, Rhodes pianos with fuzz, ringmodulators and drumkits bigger than a schoolbus, it's a musicform that fuses jazz, rock, African, electronics, folk or any other cool music form known to man or animal. The bands that were at the forefront some 30 years ago were the masters - Weather Report, Return to Forever, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Herbie Hancock's Headhunters, Billy Cobham & George Duke Band, etc. They were known to play faster than the NASDAQ drops and were all fearsome gunslingers, but by the late '70s a lethal cocktail of record company greed, lounge jazz, synthpop with lame haircuts and the deadly Linndrum made them all less popular or, in some cases, obsolete. But as you might expect, they just went away from the mainstream & the limelight because the media and corporate music-biz lawyers couldn't see any 'commercial potential' in it anymore. Anyway, to carry on...when our 2 heroes Reingold & Stolt, of a considerable later vintage, decided to break some new ground, it all started with Stolt playing a few tunes he considered to be his tribute to the late great Joe Zawinul to Mr. Reingold. Within hours the duo had jumpstarted to arrange these and some of Jonas' material. Hey, this sounded fresh and up to date, fusion wasn't dead, what a relief, time to restore the Rhodes piano and the royal phasers!! The intention of this new combo was to explore a more rootsy "with a bit of grit" fusion and far from the easy listening or smooth jazz of later years. We hope to bring you a funkier African sound, more as if Jimi Hendris Band of Gypsies and early Weather Report or Headunters had a lovechild. Ably assisting our duo are Zoltan Csorz, Dave Weckl, Ayi Solomon, Lalle Larsson and Karl-Martin Almovist. Ready to groove?

Agents of Mercy/The Fading Ghosts of Twilight ....import CD $22.99
In March 2009 Foxtrot Music will release a brand new album "The Fading Ghosts Of Twilight" - by the new project called AGENTS OF MERCY. The album will initially be a LTD edition digipack with 77 minutes of brand new music. Agents Of Mercy is a project spawned from a low key acoustic project that Roine Stolt set out to do in 2008, but after getting singer Nad Sylvan (Unifaun) onboard to do a few "guest vocals" it turned into a full production prog album where Nad got more involved and did most of both lead and backing vocals on the album. Songs got longer and more elaborated and more symphonic and the common love of late 60's and early 70's prog is all over this album. A few favourite drummers played for the 12 tracks, Pat Mastelotto (King Crimson, Stickmen, etc) Zoltan Csorsz (TFK, Karmakanic) and Jimmy Keegan (Santana, Spocks Beard live ) the eccentric Biggo Zelfries did most of the piano and analogue keyboards and TFK bassist Jonas Reingold add some fretless bass spice too. Sir Silas Toball of Goblindesign did the mysterious artwork for us and the album is mixed by agent Stolt at Cosmic Lodge as usual.
